Hi folks,
I just heard that the IMSS show is on in Dublin Castle at the end of May...
Just a few questions:
I'm thinking of bringing a few models up, but is ther any accommodation near Dublin Castle with parking???
Do you need to be an IMSS member to enter competitions and if so how do I go about it?
Thanks,
Eoin

Jury's Inn Cristchurch is 3 mins walk from the castle. Not sure if they have parking but there are a few public high-rise car pars around there.
AFAIK the competion is open to all, just costs a bit more for non-members. Nothing on their site http://imss.moonfruit.com/#/2011-show/4526655522 but I seem to recall it was something like €10 for members entries and €20 for non-members and that covered any number of entries.
I've been the last two years but never entered anything. There was a big increase in entries last year and hopefully this year will be even better.
Bring plenty of money for the dealers room....lots of lovely stuff!

Just to mention that Armour and Aircraft have been changed to open categories so potentially more awards on offer.

Sounds good, I'll have to be extra disciplined with the dealer's stalls though! The stash monster will be on overdrive!

Two years ago when it was also in Dublin Castle I was allowed drive in and park there as my entry was very big.
Heard today that the only confirmed dealer so far apart from Paul Walsh's All Models is Friendship Models.

I'll be there at least one of the days....If I can make both days I might even enter something....
So, how we all going to recognise each other in the flesh?

I'll be manning the IPMS display table on Sunday for quite a bit so that's one way to spot me I guess. I wear glasses too.
