I had taken the spring and summer off to go kayak and bass fishing and was trying to figure out when this show would be taking place. I looked in the news section of this site but didn't see it there. Because I hadn't been using the site much over the past six months, I didn't think to look here until now. I even tried to look on the IPMS site to see if PATCON had a website but couldn't find any reference for the show.

This show got me interested in models last year and I am sad I missed it. Does PATCON have a website? I know I won't miss Granitecon because I have already seen their flyer on the web. Just a thought that maybe next year or for any other group having a show, they post it in the news section and not just in the forum? I hope to catch PATCON next year - I hope it was fun for those who went and will look forward to meeting some of you at Granitecon.

PATCON does not have a website nor does the sponsoring club, IPMS Patriot located in Bedford, Mass. PATCON is announced on rec.models.scale by Pip Moss.

There are several members of Armorama who frequent these local contests like Al LaFleche or Olaf Kievit who belong to other nearby IPMS chapters. You can always ask one of them and they will be able to get the information for you without too much difficulty.

I've probably met more than 20 local Armorama members this year alone and a good number were in attendance, best bet is to pop into this site to check to see if next year's PATCON is being announced around the end of August for a show time in September.

This was my first and most likely last PATCON. I am due for rotation next summer, but if you contact me, next year I should be able to get the information to you.

Thanks Rob - like I said, I hadn't been around this site for a little while and checked in on the news section outside of the forum. I know they don't have a website - last year someone posted the flyer on the web and that's how I found it. I'll remember where to look next year!

Maybe I will see you at the Granitecon show in Nashua in October - I have tons of questions and haven't really progressed much due to my hiatus fishing for bass all spring and summer!

I was in Patriot from 88 til 91. Every year Patcon was a great little show; we had lots of fun working it. It's great to know it is still going strong, and at the same location no less!

Next time we need to corral the Armorama members and take a group photo. There was about 10 of us there at PATCON. Unfortunately I will be out of town during GraniteCon in NH, but will attend BAYCON in Attleburo. How about then?
