Yep March 17th 1962 I was born. I had yet another great year with my wife and kids. Maryann made my annual Corn Beef and Cabbage. The kids and grandkids came with presents, and yet again another great year for present.

The five kids chipped in and bought…
(1) Trumpeters 1/32 EA-18G
(2) Hasegawa’s F/A-18D
(3) $65 in cash...maybe aftermarket money for the EA-18G.
(4) 4 lotto scratch tickets
(5) Zippo lighter

And finally my youngest daughter god bless her heart thought I would need an iPod touch. What made her think I needed one is beyond me. Heck I can barely see the screen and the music coming out is like….tinny. I thought about asking Samantha to get her money back but she was excited about giving me the thing. So I guess I will have to learn something new.

Happy Modeling,
Joe

Hey, Happy B-Day Joe. Nice gifts you got too...all I got were cards...nice ones, but no models!
Seeing as I'm actually part Irish{amongst other nationalilities} I did a 1st- I made us Green eggs and Ham{yeah, Dr Seuss meets St Patrick's day}. Dyed the eggs green after scrambling them and added a few drops of green food coloring to the Ham while it fried in the pan. The kids loved it but the wife just shook her head at me in disbelief - a common occurance here.

"The kids and grandkids came with presents,"...obviously that's not a problem!

Happy belated birthday Joe. It sounds like you have some great kids. As for the Ipod, if the sound is tinny with the earbuds that came with it, you might want to try an upgraded set pf earphones. They will usually increase the quality a good deal. Ipods and Iphones in general do not produce the best sound. Their claim to fame is the amount of music they can hold in such a small space.

Thanks guys I'm slowly getting the hang of the th iPod. I bookmarked Armorama my home page and added in ARC and ZoneFive. Another member told me about iModelKit, an app that I found to be very helpful. It's features a scale calculator, color charts of paint from the many modeling paint manufactures which show a color chip including FS number. And it also has a paint mixer, Say you use Tamiya, Add in Tamiya, mix the colors and show results...pretty cool stuff. I add a poker game, rock band (hard to play) and so far over 200 songs.

I'll take some pics of the EA-18G soon, gotta say it's a big kit, can't imagine what the 1/32 Prowler would look like.

Happy Modeling,
Joe
