There is someone on here who is selling, but is not operating through paypal. Am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to guarantee my purchase? I have purchased things like this before but contact was email and phone so there was a bit more of a secure feeling. Any suggestions are appreciated. Cheers.

Where’s what I do, use a US Postal Money Order and have them ship priority mail using delivery conformation. Then if there’s any problems send the USPS on them, with delivery conformation you can track your purchase. So far never had any problems…knock on wood!

Mother; I had planned on sending a check and using USPS Priority with delivery confirm. I guess what I am weary of is if this person takes the check and does not ship. How would the Postal Money order add to the security? I am not familiar with them. Cheers.

I have used several payment methods, including cash. After many purchases, I have never had someone take the money and run. Another thing to look for is how active the person is on the forum and to see if they make the good or bad seller list.

Well I don't...like I said I never had any problems, best bet is to call your local PO and ask what they can do in case something does happen. One more thing, don't the the guy jerk you around claiming to have mailed it out over and over, even with paypal...pursue right away before time limit runs out.

I have not had any problems with anyone here and I've traded kits a few times. Is the seller in question on the good seller list here? Pay for delivery confirmation and if he fails to send the items and cashes the MO then it becomes Mail fraud. The same can happen with a vendor as one particular merchant has done to several customers here. I personally don't like Paypal or their fees.
