Hello,
I am getting into modelling again now. I put together a few kits when I was even younger than I am now but then lost interest. I joined the Air Force, went off to Basic Training and Tech School, and am now stationed in Germany. I just got back into modelling a bit and have been on this site 24/7 looking for tips and tricks on weathering 1/35 scale figures and armor. Not very good yet but I've definitely improved thanks to some techniques I've learned on here!

Good to have you here. I saw your Sherman. I built the Tamiya kit when I first returned to the hobby. You are right. There is lots of info here. And lots of help and answers.
