im at my wits end im trying to make oxygen tanks for the 1/48 monogram b-17g but i seem to fail every time there ether to small or miss shaped and my goggle searches have turned up jack does anyone have a link or can tell me how to do make oxygen tanks so i dont lose my hair

I tried to scratch some in /48 scale. I used sprue and copper wire.

Hi Brandon,
Check out lonesentry.com/oxygen for a photo of training on servicing the B-17 low pressure oxygen system. Note that the tanks are sausage shaped, round on both ends, and painted yellow. They are nothing like the high pressure oxygen cylinders used in welding and medicine.
To make them in 1/48 scale you might find sprue fat enough, or perhaps turn them out of wood dowel or plastic rod chucked in a drill.

I have made tanks out of heated sprue.
