I'm wondering if there's anyone that knows about any kind of modeling flea market kind of deal. Like an IPMS yard sale, or just a few guys in Canada that have models to sell for cheap. I want to expand my model collection and put some stuff away "in the stash", I just cant justify paying $50 a model.
I found some Tamiya kits at a convenience store the other day, boxes all faded and awful looking, and they still wanted $70.
I guess I just want some who needs to thin out their collection to pawn it off on me!

not sure if anyone has answered you concerning this but , I found goin in the classifieds here and on the other major modelling sites you can great deals on kits. or go to a hobbyshow. While there are not many in ontario this upcoming year a good show will be at the hamilton airport in march I believe and some of the vendors usually have great prices. I check kijiji for ads and there are some vendors there selling at good prices too. Or put a ad on here in the buy sell area stating what you want to buy and where your from and you may get good results.

Depends on where you live in Ontario. Here in Eastern Ontario, there is a great flea market in Morrisburg where I have picked up numerous great deals over the years from one of the vendors who has model kits in his booth.
As well, we have a local auction house where I recently bought close to $1000 worth (retail price) of models for less than $80.
Keep your eyes and ears open, deals can be found if you are willing to look for them.

Hi, I am in Calgary, just set up my business in Canada 3 months ago. You can take a look at my website www.hobbystuffdepot.com. The main products I am selling are most from the Chinese manufacturers like Trumpeter, Dragon etc. I also have a incoming shipment on March which will bring a large amount of Trumpeter kits, Bronco Kits, ET Model PEs and AFV club kits. If you are interested, you can contact me at [email protected] or [email protected]. Cheers!

I am not from Canada , but I have gotten some pretty good deals at flea markets. They don't seem to know how much the models are really worth. Example..........got a Minicraft 48 th scale P38J for $7.50...........another time at another flea market I got Monograms 48 scale B17 , Hasagawa BF109E, Revel Corsair F4U-1, Testors F4G/F, and an Airfix 32nd scale Spitfire all for a grand total of twenty five dollars for all five. I wasn't even looking for models those days but how could I ever pass that up. Just keep an eye out and when you least expect it you may also stumble across a flea market deal....................good luck.....................Al
