Hi all, been a while, been crazy busy! Hey, I just saw that Panzer IV in the "On Display", and whoa, awesome! I'm having trouble getting that built up dirt look for the insides of the lower chasis, and around the suspension. How is it achieved, the build up of all that dry dirt, it looks so natural, and textured. All I basically do is mix white glue in with water, and add soil to form mud and just spread it around. I like the effect that I get, but after seeing this, I know there must be a way?

I use polyfilla on mine I add sand and coffee grounds to it plus a squirt of earth coloured acrylic paint to stop any white spots. then slap it on, it sticks well and you can put on as much as you wish. hope this helps. :-)

Polyfilla is a product for filling holes and cracks in plaster, wood or brickwork. its called spackle in the U.S. not sure about its name in Europe, but i use it for lots of modelling chores like ground work, mud on vehicles making walls. hope this helps :-)
