Hi folks,
I was wondering if anyone sells plastic car/aero engines?
I want to add two engines to my 1/35 Scale MAS Boat. It was powered by the Italian 1150 bhp Isotta-Fraschini Asso 1000 gasoline engine.
Anyone know of engine availability that might vaguely resemble these in 1/35 or I suppose 1/32 scale. Something that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to buy.
Thanks
Al

Some of the US car model companys( AMT , Monogram) make garage sets with engines and tools etc . probably in the 1/32 - 1/24-25 scale range . . Check and see if theres a model show or swap locally in the near future. . It might be tough to find a pair of matching engines though.

I modified the engine from an Academy 1/35 M113 for my PBR 31 Mk II. It may not be totally accurate, but looks pretty close.
My representation:
The actual engine:
Really any engine could be used. I have even modified a 1/24 car engine as a 1/35 HMMWV engine before.
Hope that helps.
