Mmm-hmm, yes, I think there are enough Canucks here judging by the posts, that it should be seriously considered! A message to the powers-that be is in order? Maybe a post on the main armour/afv board to see if it's possible?

No, on this site the more posts you have the higher "rank" you have.
It's located on the top right of your title bar.
And yes we are still waiting...

It appears as if the Army will be reverting to a form of Pips and Crowns sometime in the near future. Not sure what impact this will have on OR ranks, but perhaps we should wait and see what happens in the real world before we stick something in here that may become quickly obsolete. Thoughts?

Haven't heard anything about this, how credible is your source?

With the "nod" from the Harper Gov't the three Forces are going back to their former unique Ranks and Uniforms. I understand that, in the case of the Air Force, we'll again be known as the RCAF. Works for me! I joined the RCAF in 62 and was a Flight Lieutenant when we were forced into a disgusting green uniform and, in my case, re-ranked to Captain. We were not the only victims of this very political and $ based move.
Suggest we sit tight til the foregoing is formally implemented and then make a case for application of Canadian Ranks to our group.
Cheers,
Lance

Still don't hold your breath LOL.
In these days of cutbacks I doubt they would invest in this.

Actually I can see it happening. After all, they have to produce new rank badges and slip-ons all the time, to replace worn out ones and to issue new ones. Given that you have to buy everything after your first issue out of your own pocket, it really won't cost the Government any more than they're paying right now.
Now let's see the RCAF get their badges back as well.

Well wonders will never cease. The Canadian Military Engineer Branch Council just endorsed a return to the Corps of Royal Canadian Engineers much to my personal satisfaction.

Hi Paul - small world. As I was standing by a printer at Star Top, I saw what looked to be a service paper with a title similar to the wording in your post above, credited to a Paul Fredenburg!
And speaking with an EME LCol tonight, he said his branch is studying the reintroduction of RCEME.
I don't think I'll ever have RCAMC titles for my epaulettes as long as Medical is tri-service under CMP.

Which Canadian Ranks should we use? Canadian Armed Forces? Royal Canadian Air Force? Army? Navy? WW2? Modern?
I like the idea, and I would vote WW2 Army, but then it would be just like the Brit's......

What ever happened to the idea of Canadian Military ranks. It seemed to be a good idea but somehow got over looked. I think that the idea should be brought up again and passed onto the network administrators and try to push for the Canadian ranks. How do we give this forum a "BUMP" to bring it the attention of all fellow Canadians who are members of KitMaker Network.

Seeing as I served at Her Majesty's leisure, albeit briefly, I wouldn't mind, eh?
