How about starting a new section(or even a links page) here for a lists of traditional brick and mortar hobby shops that are still worth a damn. It used to be that you could find great hobby shops in almost every city in the USA, but now they are becoming more and more scarce every day. FSM used to have a listing in the back of the magazine but as the shops have disappeared so have the listings. If we could create a list of good hobby shops all over the world that still carry inventory and have people who actually KNOW about the hobby we could serve a two fold purpose. Help modelers find good resources around them and where they travel AND maybe we can help the really good ones that are still left stay in business. The internet has really taken the mickey out of many of these old businesses but there are still some great shops left that are worth visiting or even calling! What does the consensus think? Cheers.

Why not create a page here that people can update with the shop, name, phone, website, and reviews and such. I think that would be a really valuable resource to have here, not to mention that it MIGHT get some of these places that are still around the idea that advertising here might be a good thing too. Who knows.
