Kind of a shot in the dark here, but does anyone have or know where I can get a kit of a good ol' zeppelin? Preferably something in a larger scale, if possible. Doesn't matter too much civilian or Navy. Thanks!

Mmmm...it does look like a nice build, but for a subject SO incredibly massive, I somehow don't feel right having my model just larger than a T-55...
Thanks for looking out though!!

Hi guys, I am gonna go out on a limb. Last time I was in Hobby works ( Fairfax city Virginia) ( 703-426-8600 ) They had a zepplin kit for sale. The box was about 2 1/2 feet long. Not sure what scale or type ? Maybe this will be a good lead for you ? Good luck. - Bobby

I just got off the phone with Hobby Works--thanks for the tip, by the way! Unfortunately they could only get a hold of the 1:720 Revell Hindenburg...looks like I'll just have to frequent eBay!

This is the largest one I know of that is a mainstream model kit. I get Model Expo emails often and remember seeing one advertised fairly recently; probably prior to Christmas: http://www.modelexpo-online.com/product.asp?ITEMNO=LB70816. It does not appear to be in stock, but if you look around, you may be able to find one online somewhere. Here is a review of it in the Hawk boxing: http://www.ipmsusa2.org/reviews/Kits/Aircraft/hawk_245_graf-zep/hawk_245_graf-zep.htm
This is a larger scale and it measures out to over a yard long. I really don't know how big a kit you are looking for.
On eBay, besides the Revell kit, you're most likely to find an older US Navy blimp kit that gets some decent money. I sold one within the last couple of years on eBay and got a lot more for it that what I paid for it. It is not a big kit and is from the 1950s or 60s. I'd estimate it is smaller than a football and not as big around. Depending on the boxing, this old Navy blimp could coast as much as the large scale Hindenberg.
