I've recently discovered the 1/6th Dragon Action Figures...kind of like super-actionmen dolls, but with fully authentic WW2 kit. I bought one yesterday and was blown away by the quality and attention to detail...but more of a collectible toy, until I found the site I'm about to link. Clearly it's possible to modify and customize these dolls to an incredibly high standard.

Anyway, I'll post a few more links to some of the main online sellers later. For now...feast your eyes.

I started out not liking these "dolls" but then they brought out a Canadian Infantryman that I just HAD to have.....now I have 5 different ones plus some of the accessories sets....they are cool......as a collector of WWII Canadian memorabilia I am impressed with the attention to detail and accuracy of the figures uniforms and equipment.
Cool site too...thanks Siggi

Theres also an article in this months Military Modelling on how to improve the detail on these. Hide the joints if he wears short trousers and painting the face to look more realistic. You might wanna check this out if you are into these guys!

Good for reference on uniforms perhaps, but too big for my liking. Dolls? A bit girly too!!
Sorry just my opinion.

i got three DML/Dragon 1/16 figures. I got Jochiem Peiper, Some Tanker, And a German MP.

They are actually really cool looking and I think that after I finish my tank here, then I will d one of these guys just to build something easy.

I'm working on 'Oskar' right now. I'm giving his tank-suit a worn look by abrading all the edges, having washed it to fade the colours a bit. I've rubbed holes through the knees too. I've waxed and dusted his black trousers and panzer-blouse. Next I'll do an oil-wash on all the leather items, followed by dusting. The hard equipment will get washes and highlighting.

It's a different kind of modelling, but making the doll look more realistic is just as satisfying.
