2010 was a decent year for me modeling wise, considering I was in Afghanistan for 5 months of the year! I completed 2 campaigns....
"Paint those Troops"

and"Tank Killers"

and completed one Diorama "Panzerjagers!"

How was your modeling year?

I Think 2010 was good for me simply for the fact that I got back into modeling and didn't leave again. Injured my leg in 2008 and was laid up for 5 week so I built my 1st model in over 25 years. Then in February of this year i re-injured the leg and started modeling again and found this sight. I am now addicted to the sight and to campaigns I have already earned 9 campaign ribbons this year and have completed another 9 campaigns and have been learning and enhancing my skills with every campaign I have even built up a stash of 30 kits not including figures Looking forward to 2011 signed up for something like another 15 campaigns

Overall, it was a good year for me. My military job really cut into my time at the bench but I was able to get a kit done none the less.

Trumpeter M1117 Guardian ASV 1/35

I have begun these two projects:

AFV Club M1132 Stryker Engineer Squad Vehicle w/Surface Mine Plow

HMMWV w/ M242 Bushmaster 25mm

I really thought I had got more done this year but apparently not. My goal is to finish 8 kits in 2011.

Not bad, but not what I wanted. I have 9 complete builds individual models.
I had huge work done on my USS Independence. My one big diorama is still underway.
Work and weather have cut into time. It's too cold to work in my garage right now.

Here are some shots through the year

These got done, but no complete photos

not a great year completion-wise

I did polish off the long languishing X24 A and B from the @#$%@#$# Mach2

Carving them from semi-frozen dog droppings would have been easier, more accurate, and less painful overall.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Hobbyboss 'easy build F-86 and Mig 15 went together easily.

All 4 are now in the timeline of powered flight/historic/iconic/planes I think look cool hanging from the ceiling of my 4th grade classroom.

Armor-wise, I think I only finished the JGSDF NBC recon vehicle from Trumpeter. Again, no great shakes, but it's done.

Nearly meeting the 'completed by the end of the year' standard will be the
Trumpeter 1/35 E-25 with fin diagonal green cammo
Trumpeter Sa-6 , but the missile paint it too blue and will probably be repainted.
The Hobbyboss ZBD-03 command carrier made a strong showing here at the end of the year and is nearly completed, but unpainted.

Tamiya's 1/72 corsair is ready for decaling
Platz 1/72 MQ-1b suffered a near fatal Testors Glosscoat over Gunze acrylic accident and needs repainting.
Zvezda's Su-33 (HA!) must be a re-boxed Mach-2 kit) got tons of putty and basic assembly, but failed to keep my interest and it back undergoing long term shelf-life testing.

Sci-fi
I barely touched any SF3D/Mak kits, but
The Kotobukiya Jigabachi and Hellhound helos got a good amount of bench time, but not paint
Fine molds Y wing needs final assembly.

now if you'd asked how many kits I BOUGHT this year...

Going to work on FINISHING some of these things this year.

I list of my tank builds in 2010 and did 11 models. I then wonder why my plastic 'mountain' does not get smaller? Well, I did get five kits for Christmas...

Tanks I constructed, all 1/35th scale

Tamiya M-26 Pershing
Italia M-24 Chaffee
Tamiya T-34/76b
Tamiya T-34/85
Tamiya SU-122
Dragon SU-100
Trumpter E-100
Tamiya Tiger I mid-production
Tamiya Tiger II (older kit from 1970's)
Tamiya Tiger II production version
Tamiya Chieftain MK V

Sorry, I do not have any photos. My daughter has the digital camera.

Hi all,

Unfortunately I didn't get much done this year (well, not as much as I would have liked to...).

I did get this dio finished for the "La Grande Liberation '44" campaign over at Kitmaker Benelux:

And this rough base for the "Miniart Dio" campaign here at Armorama:

I hope to get more done this year!

Greetings,

Max

Well, It has been a mixed year for me. My milestone was getting pics here on the forms of my Through the vally of death ving. Now if I can figure out how in blazes I did it, it will be an achivement. Other than one done, I almost finished two more, A.C.W. ving with M.B. scout and tracker and a A.C.W. boxed dio with D.M.L. union figures in a wall clock. Oh, got some more done on my 14 years R/R dio which doubled in size. Man, I think it's getting the better of me. Oh well, I'll take my beating.

2010 was a good year for me .

Although playing Bad Company on X Box360 slows the modelling intentions down.

The local model comp in Brisbane in August helped me pull my finger out and finish something.
Hope you like the images
