I have just got back from summer holidays and decided to see if I could find any of the old crew in the MSN Chat but to my horror, no one was there.

If you enter chat, (and the room appears empty), hit refresh once or twice and voila--the participating chat member list pops up---don't know why, but I was experiencing the same thing as you, and this is what Dave told me to do (and it works!).

What I do when I get an empty or near empty chat room,is hit the chat thing on the left.Usually I get into the more populated room.
