Have place my order today for the soon to be available for purchase ASLAV - F from Mouse House. I will do a build log that hopefully starts as soon as the model arrives. I have never done a proper build log before, so will be a learning curve I'm sure.
Is anyone else planning on doing this conversion? Will need someone to bounce off of for sure.

Steve
If you want to build an ASLAV Ambulance you will need to get MA120 APC and some other bits depending on how accurate you want the model to be. The only difference between an ASLAV PC and an AMBO is internal plus markings - red cross in a circle.

Great to hear another one to be built so soon! I am sure you already know this but you should get the book mentioned manytimes "auralian military eqipment profiles no4 ASLAV" available from mouse house with everything else you are going to need.
check out these forum threads for good sources of information on the fitters:

please please please ask anything you want to know. the conversion is alot of fun and the kit is designed well so its not too complicated.
Assembly had me nervous during the hydraulic line assemblies for the outriggers and the crane. The smoke discharger guards are very delicate. the cupola is a bit fiddly (the mag 58 mount ring), but otherwise most of its straight forward. The castings are very very nice, barely no clean up required.
If you choose to add the RWS then get the seal solutions mount, and you dont have to install the Mag 58 ring mount. (definitely if an afghan rig, ok for late late Iraq )
I reccomend getting a spare wheel to mount on the roof.
As for techniques, just ask and I will offer what it is I do (or did) to help out.
painting is a bridge I havent crossed yet, but soon enough...
dont get too bogged down by the extraordinary level of technical information on vehicle set up- very easy to loose momentum that way.
Enjoy the build - I did.

wow ambo, ok I know I have seen others comment on the ambo in MEAO, and yes I now it had a weapon mounted - was either the mag 58 or a .50 cal on a pintle mount.
I thoroughly reccomend you start a new thread in the forums - under forums = armor/afv = modern armour, And title it "ASLAV AMBulance" or something. in no time anyone whos interested in ASLAV will swarm it with information and pics - probably making more questions than answers you'll get that much info i would think.
Ambo's like fitters are not that common so their pics and employment are scarce, but what a greta opportunity to gther what there is out there and put it all in one place...
post a few pictures you already have, and explain what you like to do, and what pieces are missing from your puzzle.
If you have trouble posting pics, let me know - when I started here a month ago it took me a while to work it out - it not quite clear cut.
check your private messages- will send email address.
