I recentley finished Tamyias Spitfire MKVI I noticed the wing tips were more pointed than older versions of Spits. Was this done for performance reasons or just for a difference designe style. Thanks for any info ACESES5

The Spit VI ws built to intercept high-flying bombers and recce planes. The extended wing tips gave additional lift to reach higher altitudes.
