OK, just joined the forum and thought Id introduce myself. Trouble is Im useless at intros.

My name is Penny and Ive recently returned to scale models after a very long lay off. As a kid I would model 1/72 aircraft. Had some lovely aircraft but probably my favourite was privateer, which I would love to do again some day, if I can find it in 1/48.

I have also painted warhammer figures, mainly Khorne Chaos, but Im guessing from the title of this forum that this would be a story for another forum.

So, my aim is to build 1/48 US Naval aircraft. Why? I really dont know. I have military in my blood, USAF, RAF, Royal Marines and Royal Navy but no US Navy.

I am a "fun" modeller, this meaning that although I aim to get better with every kit I do it for fun. Im a long way off creating anything that i suitable for public display, but I do think I get a bit better as I go.

So, Ive mentioned US Naval aircraft but in reality, with the current financial climate, Ill do anything I can get hold of cheap.

Im currently building
Accurate Minitures B-25B Mitchell Doolittle bomber
Matchbox Kaman SH-2F seasprite.

I am also havng a nightmare with an Inpact Hawker Fury.

In reserve I have the following

Revell F-117A Nighthawk
Tamiya Sea Harrier
Inpact Flycatcher
Auroa Tiger Moth
Revell F14 (1/144)
Revell Eurofighter (1/144)

O, suppose Id better mention the little bits. Im 38, female, working for a living

Welcome, Penny. As you may already know, there are many modelers on this site that will be more than happy to share their experience with you. There are also some other nice ladies on board who are very good modelers. Happy modeling....... ......Al

Hi Penny,

Welcome aboard. Hope you have fun with building & then posting the finished results, no matter how good or bad you feel your creations are!
Give the campaigns a go they're well worth it(if a bit addictive) and you gaet some good feed back which is always a good thing.

Have fun.

WELCOME Penny! We think alike. I do this hobby, because i like it, and try to improve my skills in this area. And for me a type of salvation. Instead of getting off work and being up to NO good, I look forward to coming home and working on a project. RONNY.
