My love of miniatures extends to bonsai trees. If you have never seen a real one or a book on them you don't know what you are missing. If only they didn't take a lifetime to grow! They would make great diorama additions.
Here is a great example from this site:

This is 300 years old! :-)

evening jim,
quite the beautiful tree.. hard to believe it could be decades or even centuries old.. I love them too, even tried my hand at growing one... .. unfortunatly it didnt survive..
I think they would look great as part of a dio.. Give it some life, so to speak..

I had one of those (I can't remember which species though) but unfortunately it didn't survive for many years in my apartement although I really tried my best. Now I have a dried tree trunk with beautifull roots and branches... Should I use it in a diorama? I think I will one day... when I find something suitable for it.

I agree. They look very good on dioramas. The only prob is taking care of them. But also, a dead bonsai can be used.

Yes Jim, they're very nice and I agree that they can be great additions to dios. The onli one problem, if you don't grow your own bonsais, is that here they cost ten times as much as a Tamiya's kit!!!
