I retired from the fire dept in May after 33 years.
Now I can settle in to some serious kit building.

Bob.
Congratulations on your retirement, hope you have many years to enjoy, and build some kits.
33 years in the front line, you deserve a long and happy one.

Congrats on your retirement. Ain't it a great gig? Here's to yours. Mine came at the end of June after 32 years with the state's department of developmental disabilities, formerly known as mental retardation. It's surprising how little time I've had for modeling over the summer. The new bike and lots of nice weather kept me away from the work bench.

Congrats. I have 2 1/2 years before I can pull the pin, but I am eagerly awaiting that happy day. Enjoy your time, you've earned it.
Cheers,

Great news. Congratulations. I am recently retired too and I have more time than ever for the hobby, but I try to keep it from overtaking things and not become my main priority. Still , I am enjoying the time to actually build something till it is finished.

Bob,
Congratulations on your retirement. Looking at your callsign can I safely assume you retired as a Captian on the FD. Now it is time to hit that workbench and enjoy that free time you so richly deserve!

Enjoy the time, now get all built.
About 5 to 6 for me and then gone also.
I hope anyway
I have noticed that time does go faster when you get older.

Congrats Bob. I retired recently and wouldn't know what to do with myself if it wasn't for models.
