I'm an old fella, recently retired with a long interest in the Bismark/Hood battle and the Kriegsmarine ships in particular. Currently I'm working on a 1/350 Trumpeter model of the Graff Spee and am having problems with the colour scheme outlined by them.
Would anybody be able to suggest an alternative to the basic colour they prescribe (H308/308 + H11/62) for the vertical faces of the superstructure? It just seems a bit weird that there isn't a single paint to do the job.
Also working on a Heller version 1/400 of the Prinz Eugen - not impressed so I might bite the bullet and get the latest offering.
Cheers, Simon

G'day Simon, and welcome to the Kitmaker Network. It's great to see another Aussie joining the ranks. You will get all of the assistance you need here, but you might want to try posting directly in the Model Shipwrights section of Kitmaker Model Shipwrights Homepage , you might get your query answered more quickly.
I mostly stick to Wingy-Thingys, but the crew here are amazing in terms of skills and knowledge, and absolute willingness to share.
Cheers, Damian

G'day Simon,
Hmmm, a boaty... well nobody's perfect I guess Nah, just kidding, mate.
Welcome to the Kitmaker Network, mate! The invasion is going slow, but soon enough the Aussies will have taken over this site!
Rudi
p.s. I've been at this modelling thing for a few years, but I still reckon I'm new at it

LOL! Actually more like all those John Wayne Westerns I grew up watching with the old man My Aussie lingo is limited to "mate", "no worries" and "no dramas". As for the rest.... I wish these bloody people spoke English!
BTW, can you believe it was 2 years last month?
