Hi,

Aahg! I seem to have lost the hatch on my 1/35th scale Tamiya Tiger tank in transport. Any suggestions as to how I can scratch build or acquire one? It's been many years since I've done military modeling, and I'm a bit rusty. This is the rectangular hatch, not the round one. Thanks for any direction.---Jeff

Hello Jesse,

It is this one (photo not mine). You can see the rectangular hatch. Tamiya 1/35th scale.

Thanks,

this one?

do you intend to glue it in the closed position, as pictured above, or do you need both sides?

Why yes! That's it! I would glue it closed, I have the figure in the other hatch. What do you want for it? I will of course cover your postage.

oh, um.. I was going to describe how to scratch build one. Much easier if in the closed position because there will be only one side visible

I can't part with this part because it's the only one I have

The materials needed will be styrene of the specified sizes or any plastic material that can be cut, sanded and glued

dimensions will be LENGTH X WIDTH X THICKNESS, dimensions are to be as close as possible

assemble by laminating the parts you created

hope this help
