Hey guys I need some help, a great friend had passed away Monday. It’s going to be a short one day service and the color guard will be there and the wife was looking to have some of Bill medals display. As of tonight she has been able to find them. So I was looking over the DD-214 and was only able to come up with two….
Here is what is on the form…
NDSM AFM 900-3
AFQUA SO GB 459 1967 DAF
AFGCN AFM 900-3
So from what I can tell one is the National Defense Service Medal, Airforce Good Conduct Medal…right.
And the one I’m having a problem is the AFQUA SO GB 459 1967 DAF. Bill also served 1year 11months 2days on foreign and/ oversea service. Seeing Bill served overseas would he had the oversea medal/ribbin...there are two, short and long.
So any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Joe
