Any ideas on how to get the hobnail boot effect?
Cheers

For footprints I took a 1/35 boot (pair) and put ‘rivets’ in the desired pattern (Hobnail) or you can buy Calibre 35’s accessory ‘Footprints’.

on most ww2 dragon figures they have the studs in the bottom of the boot you could use them as it would give a proper mark like the real thing due to the stiffness of the plastic :-)

Well, perhaps not the best way of doing them, but it was about the only way that I could come up with....
I punched out a bunch of small (the smallest I could) styrene disks (.010" thk) with a Historex punch and glued to the bottom of the boots. Larger than they should be, but still better than the bare bottoms supplied. The effect is there anyway....

kev,
nice try with the boots only one thing m8 on the hell of the boot there should be
a "horse shoe" which as by it's name inplys what it is and at the front there should
a little seg on the tip of the sole of the boot.
BTW ever seen any one run on a waxed /or marble type floor with these boots on?
really funny people normally lend up on their rear as these boots are still in use
today they are called ammo boots and the guards wear them ect

Ya, I know (now) Mike, and I should at least have painted them on. But hey, I'm a 'hacker'. #:-)
