Saw a picture in the news paper this morning of U.S. troops landing in Liberia, and noticed the uniforms they were wearing. Thay are not the usual Woodland camo that you have gotten used to see American soldiers in, instead it had a more "spot-like" camoflage pattern.
Anyone that can tell me some more about this, maybe have some pictures?

The "spot's" you are refering to on the American uniforms are actually small squares. The US Marines are using the same kind of camoflague that the Canadian Forces has adopted. In Canada it is called CADPAT, I'm not sure what the marines are calling it. The camoflauge is made by computer and looks pixelated up close. Hope this helps.

It's called MARPAT....Marine Pattern
In addition to being "pixelized" is has little black Eagle, Globe and Anchors printed on it at certain intervals, as well as being a completely new design, not just new fabric. They moved/modified the pockets and there may be some other modifications that I can't remember.

How hard would it be to make "MARPAT" on a 1/35 figure? Could be kind of fun, especially since I have two sets of Dragons new marines on the way from HLJ.
And since I already taken up the subject, does anyone have any pics or know where I can find them of this uniform?

I took an image of this pattern and resized it to about 1/35. You really can't make out any of the digitization, just a dabbled pattern. What you might try doing is saving the pattern you want from the above link and bringing it into a word program and resizing it down to 1/35. Copying the resized image and making a decal sheet and "wallpapering" your figure.

Then I think they will get plain ol' woodland uniforms, and one in desert camo.
