I'm travelling to India for a few weeks, and plan to build a model during my spare time - since sight-seeing isn't an option. I plan to leave it behind, as a gift, so I'd like it to be thematic to India or the British occupation, etc.

Any Ideas?

No suggestions but I dont know that something related to the days of the British Empire would be well recieved. The Brits did not get the big elbow because the Indians enjoyed their company.

Make sure you take something for the 'Delhi Belly'.
