Is a 1/35 scale model to small to use an airbrush on? I am working on military figures....and thought I may give an airbrush a try....but am afraid that the models may be too small?

Advice?

And if they are not to small...any recomendations on airbrushes that get very fine detail?

THanks all for any advice

You can't really use an airbrush for figures except for the base or primer coat. Most figure painting is done by hand with brushes. An airbrush is great for painting 1/35 vehicles though. I use mine all the time.

Even for big 1/6 scale figures, painting with brushes is preferred. Maybe people who are highly skilled in airbrushing can do more than basic primer coat.

As for airbrushes, a reliable fine-detail enabled airbrush is quite pricey. I just did some research for my new airbrush and a decent one will be at least $100.
