This is supposed to the wonderful US military radio, but now I happened to see by accident a website which had the topic of overrated radios, and this radio was listed among them for not being so stable. Now I'm curious if this radio was so good or not. It's a very complicated tube radio and is popular among collectors.

R390 made by collins was one of the best receiver i ever used, i worked for 32 years in the army in a radio interceoptation when i started in 1969 the R 390 , modify R-390A wich real name was R390 URR and the one for mobile in jeep and shelters was the r299URR same functions but different containers
