I noticed that GM has "Gun Accesory" items as a category on their home page tonight. This leads to an accesory for a Glock, not a model Glock, a real Fing Glock. The "/reviews" show guys shooting one in full automatic mode (I thought this was illegal in the US)!!!!!

This is totally inappropriate for a model site. IMHO

These guys have screwed up before, like their 9/11 memorial FUBAR.

I've spent a LOT of money with there, maybe my last.

Just curious here....Why is it so bad to sell gun accessories on a model site?

I'm a competitive shooter as well as a model builder...I don't see the conflict..Heck, its convenient shopping for me. LoL

On a side note, owning machine guns is not illegal in the US as long as you have the proper BATF paperwork to own the machine gun your firing. That goes for both automatic rifles and pistols.

Best regards,
Brent

I just can't conceive of a "hobby" need for a machine gun.

Seems like a teerorist tool, not a hobby tool.

Got to agree with Brent here....I see no 'conflict' or problem here. Many brick and mortar stores around here cater to multiple interests (one unusual one here is the hardware store with a whole section dedicated to knitting)so why shouldn't a web store? I guess as a retailer you've got to do what's necessary to keep people interested in your store.
Since probably a great deal of model builders are middle aged male, it's not a great push to assume they would also be interested in 'real' firearms. I fall right into that category as I own and shoot several rifles and pistols for sport.
Anyway, thanks for making me aware of the new section at GM. I'm off to check it out right now..........

Cheers,
Charles

It's only a "terrorist tool" in the hands of someone who's intentions are to kill innocent people with it.

One can reap just as much havoc with a box cutter if they are so inclined....is that also a terrorist's tool?

To me, putting an AR15 lower together is a lot like building a model. Lots of small parts.

As a collector and shooter myself I see nothing wrong making a buck somewhere else on there site.

I've often wondered why this hasn't occured sooner. It's a Real/Replica relationship on the wheel of activity choices.
I'm just not a fan of GMW. Glock is kinda overated. Springfield(?) makes decent products.
Cheers!
