Anyone know where I can get a brass name plate engraved? I was going to check with Home Depot, Michaels, and possibly a local trophy shop, but figured someone might be able to save me a few calls.

Hi Bill,
Your best bet in my opinion is the local trophy shop. Since this is one of
their specialties, they are able to offer many sizes and styles of brass or
aluminum plates with a vast selection of fonts (lettering style) that you see
fit for your projects.
They are also a good supplier of various wood bases that many be useful
in some projects.
Cheers,
Joe

Trophy shop, or one of those key cutting places you see in most malls can usually do brass name plates as well.

Trophy shops might be your best bet. Also consider office supply shops (mom & pop types might be better than the big boxes). Places like "Things Remembered" at the mall might be a source, but they might be spendy too.

OK - trophy shop it is. I found one nearby and it looks like the right place. Thank you.

Don't know if he's still making them, but I ordered one a few months back and it was nice: https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/129314&page=
