G'day all
Well i have been in the UK now for around a month, got quite alot longer left in the stay here, just wondering if any of the natives from these lands can tell me some places i shouldnt miss while im here.
I am staying just outside of Belfast.
Cheers!

Geez Dave what are you doing in the old Blighty?? Skipping over there for the warmth to escape our Winter, I suppose.
I could give you a big long list of places I would like to see if I were to ever go over there - then again just look up "military museum" and that would be my list.
Have fun while you are there.

Dave,
You're the wrong side of the Irish Sea for the sites I can think of, but if you have the time & resources to pop over then I'd say you really need to visit:
Edinburgh Castle
Stonehenge (Ayers Rock's younger brother...)
Avebury (shows how to really do a stone circle!)
Durham cathedral (look on the craftsmanship and remember it is 800 years old...)
London (too many places to name)
... and of course, Bovington tank museum! This is the mecca of military modelling, and even has a Tamiya Tank Hall.
Looks like you'll need to go walkabout!
Regards,
Tom

Tom, travellin over to England, Scotland, and Wales, is not a problem. Me and the missus are heading to London for 4 days/3 nights in just over a week, Spewin we arent staying longer as im sure we won't be able to see it all in such a short stay, but we could always go back, we are in the UK till August as of now but the trip may extend...
Appreciate the short list of places as well, ive been told to visit the London Dungeons which would be great...anything strictly military related i'm either gonna have to miss, or make up some outlandish story to tell the missus that makes it sound less warish
Alan cheers for the link but i'd best be careful or i'll have to buy another suitcase!

Sheesh, the standards really have dropped if they let you in!
You should drop Pat McGrath (Exer) a PM - although I think he's in or around Dublin.

They admitted me in an attempt to up the average intelligence - jury's still out on whether it's working. I think they over-estimated the averages to start with. Mind you, with you having left - it does up the average substantially!
I actually just find it incredible that Northern Ireland and the UK are so desperate for tattoo artists that they're repatriating convicts from the (former) convict colonies That said, having seen some of your work, you are bloody good
