Saw the presidential plane this afternoon…Air Force One flew outside my window. President Obama came to Buffalo, NY today and being that I’m 9 miles west of the airport I knew I has the chance in seeing it. I wanted to get a picture of it but Obama left Washington 25 min. late putting him in the area at 12:45. Air space was closed in the area so around 12:30 I heard a jet, ran to the window and there it was…big blue. I’m hoping to get a pic on it’s way out.

The president stopped of for chicken wings, fries, onion rings and a drink before heading back into Buffalo for a small town meeting.

I have to say it was pretty cool!

Happy Modeling,
Joe

Joe, centuries ago (Bush I / Clinton admin?) kids got to see AF1 fly over when the prez came to Atlanta. They said it was in formation with four F-16's. See anything like that?

Haven't seen his jet, but Marine 1 was out here with the last Bush, which was still quite a sight, and knotted traffic up.

You made out better than I did Joe. After his visit to you, he came down to NYC and as a result I ended up getting stuck in traffic with all the closures.

I was impressed the times I saw Marine One, I can only imagine seeing Air Force One.

I guess security is only tough when Obama's not around.

I guess watching part 2 would be too hard to figure out it was nothing more than a make believe stunt.

I know, but the thought of someone actually doing that is priceless.

I bet you a pound to a pinch of poo that the guards on duty that night are now cleaning toilets in Alaska

Not being horrible but whenever Airforce One makes an appearance in Europe, the place grinds to halt. It's complete pain and while it's around our civil liberties are curtailed for a while. And it certainly doesn't travel alone. There are normally C17's galore, a spare 747, BBJ's (the one's used in extraordinary rendition), G4 etc. Then there's the effect of additional security. Hardly surprisingly I have yet meet anybody enthusiastic about such an appearance. But it is very pretty.
