Well I'm pretty new to modelling. Did a few 1/72 tanks when I was about 9 and have started to take it up more seriously. My skills consist of being able to ham-fistedly glue something together and coat it olive drab. I prefer ground vehicles and infantry (although I have not yet painted a figure, I have a few to do), not really planes or boats. I am currently building a 1/35 bren gun carrier to go in my dad's diarama but this may have to go on hold for a while for my exams.

I don't care much about historical accuracy, I'm one of these young whippersnappers who is interested largely in explosions and wants stuff to look cool. I'll be much happier with a tank with wings welded onto it than a normal tank with the right unit markings.

... actually I might build that flying tank, seems like a laugh.

Hi Joseph,
Welcome to MSW.
A tank with wings you say.........I would just love to see a Tiger 1 with wings on it ! Would surely give a whole new meaning to "The Flying Tigers"
Anyways, enjoy the site.
Have a nice day and happy modeling!
Joe

Welcome aboard. Lots of are returning to the hobby and learning the skills we didn't gain as kids. BTW The Soviets tried the idea of a flying tank, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:AntonovA40.jpg
