Hi folks,

I'm a born again modeller. I've just started back making models after a 17 year hietus! Boy has the world changed!

A lot of magazine articles have recommended Future or Johnson's Klear acryllic floor polish to use as a protective coat on paint. After getting many odd looks of shopkeepers of various descriptions I found out that Johnsons stopped making Klear in 2008! D'oh!

Is there any alternatives out there in the real world (i.e. Ireland???)

I only discovered Armorama about three weeks ago & found out that I just missed the IPMS gig by about a week or so! D'oh! I'm learning though!

Hard to tell is this is the right stuff, but it's pledge and mentions "Klear" on the bottle:

Thanks a million 35th Scale- I got 'klear is now Pledge Multi-Surface Wax' in Dunnes Stores.

It went on fine and didn't melt anything. It was slightly thick though so I had to dip a corner of kitchen roll in crevices to remove excess.
