Iam working on the mount of a XM-134 mini gun and te original mount broke on me, and iam replacing it with some brass off of a Verlinden photo-etch set. Should I buy the Verlinden Nuts & Bolts set to make it more detailed? would this work for the mount?? thanks. The secong question, do any companies make a set of 1/35 bones?? I saw Verlinden did a set but I think they were 1/15 right??
thanks,
Mike

I believe I have an artilce from Military Modeler In which someone made a skeleton.
Give me a few days to look for it as I'm in the process of "remodeling" my work area. (New bench)

Can't ya mold bones out of some Squadron White putty? You probably could even make them look like they are broken in half.
Just a thought.

Mike,
As far as making your own bones goes, you might try using Super Sculpey. It is kind of a flesh colored sculpting medium. When finished you bake it at 225 degrees I believe, maybe less, and it hardens. I have used this for making some fantasy figures that I sculpted some years back and the stuff works great. If the bones are in 1/35, it should be pretty easy to make a close enough looking piece and several of them at that. Just my thought. HTH "Q"
