I want to preorder Trumpeters M1132 ESV from greatmodels but I wondering how they are when it comes to preorders. Do they usually get the kit around the date listed and then get it to you in a reasonable time? Do they ever change prices once you've ordered? Anything else I should know?

Consider instead ordering from Sprue Brothers, there you'll know what the price is up front and for sure get it shipped to you when it arrives. They also don't tap your CC until the item actually ships!

You can also try culttvman.com They have great discount prices and also don't charge until the item is shipped.

I've used all 3 and they don't charge till just before it ships.
As for the "are they on target per the date listed"...that's up to the manufacturers and they're not always known for there consistant release date schedules.

I would recommend Great Models to anyone.
I have pre-ordered many items from Greatmodels. I pay with pay-pal and have not had any problems.

I have only had one item where the price was changed and that was about 5 or 6 years ago. I ordered an Ironside kit (manufactured in France) and the Dollar fell sharply against the Franc so the price went way up. Greatmodels contacted me and gave me the option to cancel the order, which I did.

I have had only good experiences with this company. 90% of my online purchases are done through Greatmodels Webstore.
