what would be the best type of putty to use to apply zimmerit thanks

Hi, Cannot say which is best. I have seen several putties used very well. I suggest you scroll up to the armorama search bar and search zimmerit.

The zimmerit question has been really-nicely kicked around here a lot!
I highly recommend visiting the "zimmerit and putty" thread posted by "lawnboi63" on the Armor/AFV forum for some good stuff. There are many others recently gone-on, as well as many reference articles (each with a favored approach, of course!).
The debate about putty is FULL of opions and options!
