Guys, I've read several articles on the use of Static Grass. In pictures I've seen this stuff looks great. My question is, where do I get this stuff in South Africa? I live in Gauteng.

Read about the product 'Static Grass' before buying. You will need something to create static electricity to get the 'grass' to stand up (like real grass) It's pretty simple and can be done reasonable easy and cheap but it is a bit more involved that purchasing the product and sprinkling it on a base

Charles, yeah, I have Shep Paine's book and he suggests sprinkling and gently blowing across it to make it stand up.

To get static grass to stand up.......

Easy....and no need for one of those expensive static machines.

Lay down your glue, sprinkle the static grass on. Let it all dry for 5 mins or so, and blow a balloon up, tie off the balloon, rub it on your head (if you don't have hair, rub it on someone else's head), the balloon will now have a static attraction....run it across the surface that has the static grass, an inch or so off the surface. The static on the balloon will attract the static grass, however the glue holding the grass down won't allow the grass to escape, and you have grass that stands up.

Paul, thanks. I ordered some stuff from them. (initial order made in April!) The owner only contacted me last week and it now seems that my order is on the way - at last.

Yet again, south Africans do not understand service delivery. With both HobbyEasy and LuckyModel (Both in the East) it takes on average 14 days to deliver. Why should a shop in JHB take 5 months to deliver to Pta? doesn't make sense.
