Hello

does anyone know anything about using pva glue on canopies ?

ive heard if you put it on then paint the parts that need painting, you peel it off afterwards and walla, you have your canopy painted !

I use pva to stick clear plastic parts on the main model if used sparingly it dries clear and you dont see any glue after it dries.
As to using as a mask never done it but I will try it on a spare now you raise the question
cheers

Dez

I'd be a bit shy with masking a canopy with PVA glue. I tried to do it with the stinger canopy on an AM Avenger and nearly stuffed it. The glue was very reluctant to separate from the clear plastic and by the time I got it off and then cleaned the clear plastic the painted frames had lost their paint.

Since then I have reverted to using tamiya tape to mask, or more recently just painting with a 00000 brush and cleaning up with a sharpened toothpick.
