I know I have a baggy full of parts from two AIM's and one SEP kit. Let me see if the stuff you want is in it.

I'm building a Crusader from the Hobby Craft M1A1 just because it was ridiculously cheap. Will the wind sensor and blast panels help? (how can they be six pieces?) I need the cupola because I'm doing it as it would have appeared in production, not as the two prototypes appeared.

Robert, if it's not from the DML AIM kit, then it's no problem...no need to send. I choose that kit because of the accuracy. The 6 pieces I refered to are the circular discs on top of the blast-panels that come from the AIM kit.

Your in luck Nick! The only thing missing is two of the lifting eyes on the commanders station, the little peice that goes on the commanders periscope, and the electrical conduit that goes to the APU. There is 3 loaders and drivers hatches.

Yes, it's a shame the Army dropped the program. I measured the hell out of the thing several years ago, but as I said I want to do it as it would have looked had it gone into production, and since it never had the skirt armor, and had several tons worth of weights added to it, a lot is left to speculation. while at Yuma I also had a chance to go over the NLOS, but seem to have misplaced the drawings and measurements.
If you change your mind about the parts let me know.

If you do a Google Image search for Crusader Howitzer, you get a buch of concept pics and drawings and some test vehicles. Like Rob said, it never really went past the concept stage, so there are no pics of actual vehicles.
