I have a similar problem - I'm addicted to Led Zeppelin. I have 150 bootlegged concert recordings and studio outtakes - counting concert videos, it works out to over 300 hours of lunacy . All 45 gigabytes of them were downloaded from the internet; the way I see it, the argument for buying music goes "it supports the bands." I figure I'm supporting the band by not supporting those who rip them off. Maybe my problem also stems from my lack of a stash as well?

Scott, sounds like my Metallica collection! Dont tell my old guitarist about that collection though you may get a stalker

the guy in your avatar, i recognise him, but i cant quite pin a name, blues guitarist? and didnt he used to sit facing the corner of a room for a more resonant sound or such, i just cant remeber his name!

uhm whoah! Tell him that its all readily available on the internet! I have it all on my zune -ohoh, now I'll get mugged, right? Yeah, it's pretty crazy. I don't know anyone else who admits to an addiction this serious the same way I do. It's gotten to the point where it's tedious to scroll thruough the list of 88 versions of Dazed and Confused! I guess most people have an artist that they really really like, but just most people don't have as much time as me to get that much of it?

And the avatar is Robert Johnson, yeah!

It's one of three photos known to be taken of him, this one from 1936. He was so good at the guitar, it was thought that he had made a deal with the devil. Interesting to see what appears to be a skull formed in the curtains above the neck of his guitar, eh? I hadn't heard that bit about him playing in a corner though. I just looked that up, it's called 'corner loading.' Interesting stuff.

I thought it was Someone Johnson. read a feature on him in a guitar mag a while back.

its funny cause we used to do a lot Of Zep cause that was his thing and he was the "ego" but i learned to appreciate it more after the band split up, we tried to include Kashmir into as many gigs as we could. were some good times, im looking for another venture at the moment, but the only things around are super begginers, who are Exclusive to what they like with vicious inflexibility, or 40 ups, nothing wrong with the older guys, its just intimidating.

that skull is one of those once seen always there things, it took a while to see for me though.!

Yeah, Robert Johnson has had a lot of influence, so it;s surprising that he's not in more magazines, etc. Practically no one's heard of him, despite all kinds of rock stars really praising him.

Zep's pretty great. If I could play a musical instrument, that's what I'd play! I did trumpet last year in music class, but I wasn't exactly naturally talented, so it didn't go over too well. There are a few bands at my school. These make my Facebook account worthwhile. Whenever one posts a video, the others start a flame war against them. This goes for about 500 comments or so, when the flaming finds a new battleground on the next video posted.

Man! You DO have a problem! Where are you going to put all those??!

Hmm, I see a few I know, Commandos 2 I gamed until it came out of my ears... I only see one Call of Duty though and no Medal of Honor?

I guess I was one generation earlier, I used to play Panzer General 2 (Allied General) a lot when I was a kid, and not to forget Steel Panthers 1 and 2... AFAIK SSI-Studios no longer exist... And then of corse Commandos 1...

Well, nice list!

Cheers

Scott, when i went to school i guess facebook and stuff wasnt as popular with our crowd, we were all into bebo, gawd im talking about it like it was 20 years ago, but in reality i left around 4 years ago! most of the bands were coverbands of indy stuff, i have always been more of a metallica, floyd, zep, jimi, etc

Stefan in there is the newest cod, MW2, but for shooters in that sence hidden and dangerous 2 will nearly always top the list, its just something i can keep going back to , despite its age,

new ones for the list
assassins creed 2
battlefield bad company2
metro 2033
red faction guerilla
