Just a random thought.
The collective "we" in the model building world are usually pretty adept at using small hand tools like jewelry files, small scissors and especially tweezers.
My question is, when the restaurant of choice is Asian, how many of "us" prefer to manipulate chop sticks as opposed to cutlery?
cheers

I've been using chop sticks almost as long as I been using more western cutlery.

Depends on how hungry I am. If its shoveling time I go with the fork. If I'm eating with clients or SWMBO - then it's chopsticks.

I do - and it's fun because I'm left-handed. Always got curious looks when I was stationed in Okinawa, and some places here too...

It depends upon where I am and who I am with.
When I served with the Vietnamese Rangers, I cut my own from bamboo in the bush and that's all I used. On the other hand, I can get pretty sloppy with them, so if I am in a nice restaurant, I tend to use cutlery.....this is especially so if my wife is with me. She makes fun of me "showing off" when I use the chop sticks.
I have mastered picking up a single grain of rice with the sticks. I have yet to master eating soup with them.

I've used them, left handed, a few times, but only when I'm with somebody else who is using them.

Got reasonably good with them when I visted Korea. At least I managed to eat my share. Now not so much, seems like I'm showing off when I use them at Chinese restraunts.
