A few weeks ago I noted the passing of Colonel Bob Howard, who I was proud to have as my Commandant at SFQC.
A friend of mine just sent me this link about Roy Benavidez, another Texas resident who I was also proud to have known. I met him twice when he came to speak at the Middle School where I taught, just a few short years before his passing. It's guys like him who have inspired me throughout my SF career.

What a brave man, its people like him who keep america safe everday, god bless him, rest in peace my friend. Putting yourself on the line to keep others safe, you are a true american.

Dang that was one Tough dude.

I think he should of got more medals Silver star, purple heart 7 times. etc.
