Hi to everyone here.
I have the Trumpeter 1/35 scale leopold kit and have a couple of parts missing.
Emaild Trumpeter and got no joy.
So please could someone advise me on how to make my own parts out of resin and where to get the materials for the job in the U/K.
Thanks and best regards to you all.

Hi Mark,
check out this article: http://www.b9robotresource.com/molding1.htm
it's very informative and covers all of the basics of resin casting.
unfortunately I don't know where you can get the materials in the UK,
but you could try to order from "rai-ro" I'm using their silicone and resin and I'm really satisfied with my results. http://www.rai-ro.de/
hope I could help you

Regards Max
Sandy

Hi Mark Hobby craft have small kits of resin and RTV , They are sold seperate and in various sizes . The RTV is in a two part clear pots , one white and the other blue. Mix equal amounts and mold over the master , leave to set according to instructions and you should be able to test pour your first in under an hour . cheers ian

This company should suit you.
http://www.tiranti.co.uk/

I have used their T20 Silicone for moulds and the G26 BiResin. The resin is however only pourable for 2-3 minutes after mixing. For bigger parts you might want a slower setting resin.

Cheers
