This drives my wife nuts but even though I've got the box set, and have watched it at least four times from start to finish, every time it comes on the tube, currently on Spike TV, I will watch it.

To keep this going what are your favorite episodes?

Personally I like Breaking Point, I think. The where "Doc" is running all over the place looking for supplies and finally has a bit of a break down. Next would be Why We Fight, where they find a concentration camp.

Yes, I'd have to agree. It'll be interesting to see how 'Pacific" does...

A friend of mine played one of the replacements who dropped into Holland and he told me that when the real "Wild Bill" Guarnere came to the set he eventually got to talk to him and asked him did he know "Pte ......" - the charachter my friend was playing "Yeah I sure did" he said "He was the stupidest S.O.B I ever met in my entire life"

Didn't do much for my friends motivation

I have to watch B o B everytime it is on,drives my wife nuts too. I really liked the interviews before each episode. Carentan and Crossroads are my favorite. I'm really looking forward to the Pacific series....Vince

Wonderful series - try reading the book as well. Or any of Steven Ambrose's WWII books.

Bought this on Blu Ray for 18 quid - not bad as the DVD set sells for 30.
