How do you go about keeping the nozzles on your CA bottles open and clear. After a few uses mine always seem to clog up , then when I clean them out , I also end up making the delivery hole bigger , which inturn makes my glue job even sloppier.Any suggestions appreciated.

for the medium CA I usually just take the top off and dip in a tooth pick to apply it. Thin Ca i always buy a couple extra tops.

Whoever manages to invent a needle tip that never clogs and never needs cleaning for thin CA will be rich beyond the dreams of avarice.

When the tip clogs, take it off and soak it in acetone.

After use hold it upright and tap the bottle on a hard surface a few times which will hopefully disperse the airbubbles in the nozzle which cause a lot of the clogging as they trap the glue there, you can also poke a needle down to clear the bubbles.

As Wayne says, it helps to store it upright.

Open bottle, decant some on old cd, etc,
seal bottle with lid, this prevents it drying out & clogging.

Use toothpick, or needle to apply CA to parts needed.

Gator Glue has good reports for PE to plastic joins

Agree with this. I use the tops of old 35mm film containers in which to put a drop or two of CA and then store teh bottle upright and with the lid on after making sure that the passage through the tip is clear. If it's clear when I put the top on, it's clear the next time I need it.

I use a pin to pick up a dab of glue and it provides a very accurate way to apply a small amount of glue. A toothpick is good, but tends to pick up a slightly larger amount of glue, in my experience.

after use, squeeze narrow sides and it will suck the glue back down the tip...do everytime
works for me

So ,for you guys who put the glue on a lid , cd , etc. are you using the medium or slow CA? Wouldnt the thin ca dry before it could be used? Thanks for the input.

no, the glue stays okay for several minutes. If you use aluminium foil to put your glue on, it will for some reason stay okay even longer, at least, that's my experience.
