I'm looking at the instructions for the Platz MQ-1b Predator and I can't tell whose 4-digit paint codes these are under the GSI codes. I'm not a GSI user, so those are little help to me.
The hellfires are GSI code 33, other guys code #4768. Now I am guessing this is OD Green, but it's also the color of the wheels??? Not the hubs that are 92/4700, but the wheels themselves.
Also coded thusly are the the 'wheel bays' where the landing gear fold up into.
So this is making no sense.
Anyone got any idea whose paint codes the 'other' company is?
An online list of the GSI paint codes?
Thanks,
Mike

Mike,
I expect that the GSI Creos colors quoted are the "Mr Color" (lacquer) range, not the "Mr Hobby" (Aqueous) colors. The "Mr Hobby" colors have a "H" prefix. (eg. "H-12" = Flat Black)
This would make "33" Flat black.
For the wheel hubs, "92" is listed as semi-gloss black.
Mr Color reference chart here: http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/colorcharts/stuff_eng_colorcharts_mrcolor_map.htm
The four digit codes are Testors Model Master acrylics.

Phil,
Many thanks, that's a huge help.
I thought the Hellfires were OD though...
Off to the internets for some research.
