Who else watched this tonight? They already sold one DVD set here! The announcer states that all footage is original color film culled from a 2 year search and much is unreleased.
It is NOT COLORIZED! The HD clarity is phenomenal and the color is beautiful. The narration has real facts, not just banter, and the personal stories are relevant and interesting. This first episode is a grand slam.

I watched it last night too. QUITE enjoyable. I think HC did a good job of putting this together. The "testimonials," for the most part kept things in sync.

I did like the footage of the Stugs. And some of the 'Canal landing site footage.

Very much worth the "watching."

I don't have HD but I enjoyed the part of the first episode I was able to watch. I've got the rest set to record. The personal stories are not from people that have been used on other documentaries, as far as I've seen. I also think Gary Sinise really respects the vets and you can tell this in his narration. Every time I see color film like this I really get inspired to model something.
