What dullcote you guys use that is available here in our country? As far as what i have read in the various modelling articles on the net they use Testors Dullcote. Is it available here in the Phil? (Manila) Is there any substitute for that as I live in the province.
Thank you in advance!

Gunze Sangyo's Mr. Top Coat (Flat) and Mr. Super Clear (Flat). The difference between the two is merely the size, IMO. Mr. Top Coat (Flat) comes in short spray cans, whilst Mr. Super Clear (Flat) comes in taller spray cans. I think there is a qualitative difference between the 2, i.e. Mr. Top Coat (Flat) is thicker in consistency, while Mr. Super Clear (Flat) is thinner, but as far as I've noticed in using both, I see no difference.

Pretty much the same as Gl buy. I would recommend Gunze Sangyo's Mr. Topcoat (Flat).

Crismag: Thanks for stating an alternative. Query: how much does it cost and how does it perform? I have been having bad results with flat coats lately.

BTW, for gloss and semi-gloss coats, if you want a cheaper one, go buy Tamiya Clear (spraycan). Works the way Mr. Topcoat Semi-Gloss and Gloss perform. The trick to either change how glossy it would be is by the distance. The farther, the less glossy.

Thank you for all your post. I think the krylom alternative is best for me as we only have one hobby shop in bacolod and they only sell kits. and the good thing is there is a national bookstore near my place, and I've seen the krylom gloss and matt spray cans but wasnt sure if it would work but now I know it would. One more thing where do you think can i get after market parts/accesories?
Again many thanks!!!

Hi Cris! Long time no hear!
Di ko pa na-try ang Future sa AB. Takot akong ma-clog
May nabasa ako somewhere na pwede rin gamitin ang VERY diluted Elmer's glue as a flat coat. Di ko pa na-try to.
