Hello,

I've been reading lots of WWII history (currently "Endgame, 1945" by David Stafford; highly recommended.) and I feel that I need a good WWII atlas. Any recommendations? I'd prefer the best one that I can get in paperback, although hardback editions are welcome.

Thanks,

JB

Hi j -

I have a couple good atlas'.

The Cassell "Atlas of the Second World War"
"The West Point Atlas for Secend World War"
Asia and the Pacific
Europe
"The West Point Atlas of American Wars"

The problem I find is that most 'entire war'atlas' are not topographic. They don't show terrain features. They can also be kinda pricey. Try abebooks.com, you can often get what your looking for in used condition fairly cheap.

Hope this helps.

I have a world gazzeter from 1914 I belive. Great book, has countries that don't exist anymore and the old borders too. A big help to most modelers that they overlook. It even has the major cities in there along with things like the Frech subway system from back in, uh, back in. heck, I'll have to look that one up again. Not willing to part with it but i I can scan any info for you that might help.
